Synopsis

​Park Chan Hong is an ordinary high school student. He is secretly in love with Eom Se Yeon but is afraid of confessing his feelings. An unfortunate event turns him into the new scapegoat of the school bully. As a way out, Chan Hong accepts to help Heon Don Hyuk investigate the mysterious suicide of Shin Seo Jung, in exchange of his protection. What started as a simple investigation rapidly turns into a serious and dangerous adventure, that will reveal students’ deepest and darkest secrets. 

My Opinion (No Spoilers)

​How to Buy a Friend is a rather good and thrilling mini-drama. I am not usually a big fan of mini-dramas because the intrigue is very often messy and not well-made. However, these 4 episodes really got me! 

​First, the characters are very complex, astonishing for a mini-drama, and the storyline clear. The themes of poetry, friendship contract and also school corruption are very well evoked and illustrated. The drama is a good mix between lighthearted romance, friendship and serious school drama. 

​Plus, the supporting characters are excellent Kim Won Hae, Min Do Hee, Jing Hye Jin to quote some!

​I really liked it! If you are looking for a good mini-drama, easy to watch and with very good actors, I highly recommend this one. All of the ingredients are justly combined to grab your attention.
