I love to see contestants of Single’s Inferno on screen and try to guess what their occupation is. Most of the time, they are models, students or entrepreneurs. But it happens that some of them are already actors or turn to acting after the show comes to an end. That’s why, it’s quite satisfactory to see them on screen again whether it’d be on reality shows or in actual dramas. Did you know about these contestants’ journey after Single’s Inferno?
Cha Hyun Seung – Season 1
He may not be the most memorable candidate from the first season of Single’s Inferno, but he certainly made an impression in Netflix’ reality show Physical 100. Cha Hyun Seung demonstrated his physical abilities and displayed his perfectly shaped body in yet another renowned Korean show of the streaming giant.
Kang So Yeon – Season 1
Kang So Yeon was one of my favorite female contestants in the first season of the dating show. She and Oh Jin Taek are one of the emblematic couples of Single’s Inferno who captivated the audience. As mentioned during her first appearance on screen, Kang So Yeon is a boxer with an incredible physique. And she proved how badass and charismatic she was once again when she participated in Physical 100.
Choi Si Hun – Season 1
Choi Si Hun may have remained single at the end of the show, but he found love later on with famous singer Ailee. The adorable couple gives me butterflies every time they talk about their encounter, each other’s qualities, or even when they post pictures on social media. The pair tied the knot in April 2025 and released a beautiful wedding pictorial for the event.
Kim Jin Young – Season 2
Kim Jin Young, also known as Dex, introduced himself as a former elite soldier turned YouTuber in the second season of Single’s Inferno. He’s by far the most successful contestant of the show to the point that he was invited to return as an MC for the third and fourth seasons. He kept a close relationship with the streaming giant by appearing in another of its reality shows entitled Zombieverse. He’s also started his acting career in 2024 by playing a deliveryman in one episode of Tarot and recently caught me by surprise by appearing in the excellent drama The Defects where he plays a cruel hitman.
Shin Seul Ki – Season 2
She was the favorite female contestants of season 2, courted by most men. Shin Seul Ki’s bright image grabbed the attention of many viewers. Though she was a piano student at university during the reality show, she has now started a successful career as an actress. She first debuted in Pyramid Game where she plays a cold high school student, breaking with her innocent image. She then went on with a role in the 2025 historical drama The Haunted Palace and family drama For Eagle Brothers.
Lee So Yi – Season 2
I remember Lee So Yi as a determined woman going all in to seduce her favorite contestant in Single’s Inferno. She showed stubbornness and resolution in her pursuit for love. I guess she leveraged on these same qualities in her acting career, as she’s already appeared in the hit drama The Glory, the historical show The Matchmakers and the 2025 romance Motel California.
Yun Ha Bin – Season 3
Yun Ha Bin is the only contestant from season 3 of Single’s Inferno who’s gained recognition after the show. I was especially surprised to see him in My Demon which aired almost at the same time as the reality show in 2024. Since then, we haven’t seen his face much.
Yuk Jun Seo – Season 4
The top dog of season 4, Yuk Jun Seo (‘the beast’) is an iconic candidate of the most recent episodes of Single’s Inferno. Wooed by several woman but only chasing one, he made an impression with his long hair, nice body and clumsy flirt. Surprisingly, Jun Seo also turned to acting. He displayed his charisma and strong built in recent shows like Sweet Home seasons 2&3 and ONE: High School Heroes in 2025. I was particularly shocked to see him in this last drama. I almost didn’t recognize him with this hat on!
Once Upon a Drama
