A plague has broken in the Joseon Kingdom. Crown Prince Lee Chang (Ju Ji Hoon) is in charge of containing it before it spreads, but he will soon discover the task is about to be harder than it seems. Indeed, infected people turn into zombies.

Ha Sun (Yeo Jin Goo) is a young clown, performing everywhere in Joseon. Lee Hun is the King of Joseon. Scared of assassination and the underlying uprising, Lee Hun’s advisors decide to replace the King with Ha Sun, who has the exact same face.

Jang Dan Bi (Lee Seung Gi) is a high school student. On a random rainy day, she travels back in time to the Joseon period. There, she meets the young king Lee Do (Yoon Doo Joon).
