Yoon Sae Bom (Han Hyo Joo) is a member of a special police squad. She has just moved in her new apartment with her husband-to-be detective Jung Yi Hyun (Park Hyung Sik). Unfortunately for them, their building is sealed as soon as they settle because of an infectious disease that is spreading among the residents.

Ko Se Won (Lee Sun Kyun) is a genius child who has a very different brain structure from other kids of his age. After his mother dies in a car accident, he is adopted by a doctor and becomes a brain scientist. He works on a project that aims at connecting brains together. So, when his son mysteriously dies in a fire and his wife commits suicide shortly after, he decides to investigate the cases using his technology.

After her father’s brutal murder, Yoon Ji Woo (Han So Hee) decides to join and work under Choi Mu Jin (Park Hee Soon), the boss of a powerful drug organization. Thanks to him, she manages to join the police force, working undercover for Mu Jin. But the more she investigates, the more Ji Woo realizes that what she knows may not be entirely the truth.

Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) is going through a tough time, after getting fired from his job. He hears about a survival game that has a reward of 45.6 billion won for the winner. Cho Sang Woo (Park Hae Soo) has grown up alongside Gi Hun and also faces a financial crisis. Both participate in the game, like many others, without realizing what the game is actually about.

Kim Do Ki (Lee Je Hoon) is a deluxe taxi driver for a very special company called Rainbow Taxi. Accompanied by 4 of his colleagues, they secretly get revenge on criminals for their passengers.

Kang Yeo Joo (Cho Yeo Jeong) is famous for her murder novels. She is also full of mysteries and often regarded as a crazy woman, constantly thinking about how to murder people. She is married to lawyer Han Woo Sung (Go Joon). He is seen as the perfect husband. Yet, he also seems to hide a lot from his wife.

Jung Ba Reum (Lee Seung Gi) is a kind and helpful police officer. After the murder of his best friend, he chases after the killer. They end up face-to-face and Ba Reum almost dies. He is barely saved but realizes afterwards that something is wrong with his head. This event changes his life.

Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong Ki) is the Consigliere of a powerful Italian mafia family. After his boss’ death, he returns to South Korea in order to get his hands on a ton of gold. Meanwhile he meets a lawyer Hong Yu Chan, trying to protect the residents of Geumga Plaza from a pharmaceutical group: Babel. Vincenzo is entangled in the fight.

Lee Dong Shik (Shin Ha Kyun) is a police officer in a small city called Munju. When he was young, he was accused of his sister’s murder, as well as several others that took place in the region. Though, he was released 21 years ago, he still hasn’t found the real murderer. One day, brilliant detective Han Ju Won (Yeo Jin Goo) comes to Munju. He wants to arrest Munju’s serial killer.

Han Tae Sul (Cho Seung Woo) is a genius working on a time machine. He meets Kang Seo Hae (Park Shin Hye), who is from the future. She tells him his invention will soon be responsible for a nuclear war. Meanwhile, an institution called the Control Bureau tries to capture Han Tae Sul.
