Set during the 1980s, the drama revolves around 3 high school friends – Lee Doo Hak (Jang Dong Yoon), Oh Jung Shin (Seol In Ah) and Choi Cheol Woong (Choo Yeong Woo) – who go through the ups and downs of live, love and friendship in turbulent times.

Li Changge (Dilraba Dilmurat) is the Princess of Tang, when her entire family is murdered by her uncle, so he can take the throne. The only survivor of the bloodbath thus swears to take her revenge and leaves on a long journey. Along the way, she encounters Ashile Sun (Wu Lei) of the Grasslands, experiences war, friendships, love and fulfills her destiny.

Set in the 18th century, the drama follows the romance between King Jeongjo (Lee Jun Ho) and is royal Concubine Uibin Sung (Lee Se Young).

Ra Yi Eon (Ok TaecYeon) is a nobleman, who wants to live an easy-going life. As he doesn’t want to get married, he choses to pass the state examination and thus becomes a secret royal inspector. He then meets Kim Jo Yi (Kim Hye Yoon). She has a progressive mind and wishes to get a divorce. Both get entangled in a case.

When the Royal Consort gives birth to twins, it is considered an ominous sign. So, she pretends her daughter is dead and hides her away. Years later, young Dam I (Park Eun Bin) has to endorse the role of the Crown Prince after his death. She becomes the cold and mean Crown Prince Lee Hwi, constantly afraid that her identity would someday be revealed. One day, she meets Jung Ji Un (Rowoon), who becomes her teacher. They develop feelings for each other.

Hwang Hee Tae (Lee Do Hyun) and Kim Myung Hee (Go Min Si) meet in May 1980 in Gwangju. They fall in love without realizing that the turbulent times and the upcoming chaos will forever change their fate.

When she was still a child, Princess Pyeonggang of Goguryeo (Kim So Hyun) was abducted and lost her memories. She was raised by assassins and became one. One day, she meets a young man On Dal (Na In Woo), who rescues her. As they fall in love, Pyeonggang recovers little by little her memory and discovers her fate his greater than she thought.

Choi Chun Jung (Park Ji Hoo) and Lee Bong Ryun (Go Sung Hee) both have special abilities, allowing them to predict the future. Together, they fight their own fate, while changing the kingdom’s.

A plague has broken in the Joseon Kingdom. Crown Prince Lee Chang (Ju Ji Hoon) is in charge of containing it before it spreads, but he will soon discover the task is about to be harder than it seems. Indeed, infected people turn into zombies.
