Du Ri An (Park Joo Mi) and Kim So Jeo (Lee Da Yeon) are 2 women from the Joseon era who end up traveling to modern times and meet the reincarnation of their family members.

After a series of unfortunate events, Lee Yeo Reum (Seol Hyun) decides to quit her job and move to Angok village. There, she meets Ahn Dae Bum (Im Si Wan), the town’s librarian. While overcoming their respective wounds, they get closer to each other.

Yoo Jae Heon (Kang Ha Neul) is a kind, optimistic and bright man. He works as an actor for a theater company, but struggles to make ends meet. Shim Eun Seok (Kim Hye Soo) is an elite judge, who has just been assigned to the juvenile court. As she hates juvenile delinquents, she administers justice her own way to punish and teach them properly.

Yeom Mi Jeong (Kim Ji Won), Yeom Gi Jeong (Lee El) and Yeom Chang Hee (Lee Min Ki) are three siblings. They are all lost in their lives and desperately try to give it some meaning. One day, a stranger arrives at their house. He is only known under the name of Mr. Gu (Son Suk Ku).

The drama revolves around the lives, friendships and hardships of 5 different mothers, who reside in the same neighborhood: Lee Eun Pyo (Lee Yo Won), Byun Cheon Hui (Choo Ja Hyun), Seo Jin Ha (Kim Gym Ri), Kim Yeong Mi (Jang Hye Jin) and Park Yun Ju (Joo Min Kyung).

Choi Joon Woong (Rowoon) is a young man, who struggles to find a job. One day, he crosses paths with Grim Reapers Gu Ryeon (Kim Hee Sun) and Im Ryung Gu (Yoon Ji On). They belong to the Risk Management Team in charge of saving people who want to commit suicide. Joon Woong ends up joining the team.

Set in 1997 during the IMF crisis, the drama depicts the love story between Na Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri), a young fencer, who aspires to become a world champion; and Baek Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk), a young man, who struggles to support his bankrupt family.

Cha Mi Jo (Son Ye Jin), Jeong Chan Young (Jeon Mi Do) and Jang Joo Hee (Kim Ji Hyun) have been friends since high school. Now aged 39, they navigate through life and its ups and downs, love and friendship.
