15 Slow-Paced K-Dramas Worth the Watch

Sometimes you don’t need 100 twists in the plot, a big reveal and a super intense plot to enjoy dramas. On the contrary, it’s better to take things slow whether it’d be for characters or for viewers. I personally enjoy watching slow-paced dramas more than anything, as they often prove to be relatable, extremely credible and just comforting. So, if you’re in the mood for that type of shows, here’s a list of 15 that I would recommend. What do you think?

One Spring Night (2019)

Cast: Jung Hae In & Han Ji Min

Plot: Lee Jeong In works as a librarian. She’s been in a relationship with Kwon Gi Seok for years. He is the perfect boyfriend with a stable financial situation, good reputation, good brains and a handsome face. One day, Jeong In meets Yu Ji Ho, her neighborhood pharmacist. They start falling in love.

Your House Helper (2018)

My Mister (2018)

Dong Hoon is going through a mid-life crisis. As they both feel burdened by life, they end up developing a connection.

Chocolate (2019/2020)

Moreover, she suffers from a trauma due to an incident in her childhood. After a series of misfortunes, she was separated from the man she fell in love with as a kid: Lee Kang. Lee Kang is a doctor, who used to live with his mother on an island, before discovering his birth secret. Cha Young and Kang meet again 20 years later, at the hospice they both work at.

A Piece of Your Mind (2020)

Cast: Jung Hae In & Chae Soo Bin

Plot: Moon Ha Won has been in love for years with Kim Ji Soo. However, she never reciprocated his love and got married to another man. Over the years, they grew apart. Ha Won became a brilliant AI engineer, who created his company, currently working on a communication device for patients that uses someone’s voice and recreates his/her personality. In order to test his device, he recruits Han Seo Woo, a sound engineer to record Ji Soo’s voice. Han Seo Woo becomes close friends with Ji Soo and Ha Won, without knowing their relationship.

My Liberation Notes (2022)
