Boyfriend on Demand ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
Country: Korea | Year: 2026 | Episode: 10 | Channel: Netflix
Cast: Jisoo & Seo In Guk
Plot: Seo Mi Rae works as a webtoon PD. Because of her busy schedule, she decides to start dating through a virtual program. In the real world, she has a work rival named Park Kyung Nam. Though he seems indifferent and a bit selfish, he also carries some secrets.
Review: I had such a great time watching Boyfriend on Demand! It was original, entertaining and way deeper than I thought it’d be. The concept of dating men through a virtual reality game sounds dangerous at first. This could isolate players even more and remove them from the actual reality to live their life in the game. It could also raise standards so high for women that real men turn out to be disappointing and bland. However, the drama also show positive aspects of the device. For Seo Mi Rae, it acts like a therapy on her previous relationships but also makes her open her eyes on her real feelings. So, not that bad in the end! Characters were nice and moving. I especially liked Park Kyung Nam. He’s so hard to read because of his pokerface. But he’s gentle and cute when you get to know him. Finally, I have a duty to talk about the amazing cameos in the drama. Each of them made me scream in front of my screen!

Our Universe ⭐ (1/5)
Country: Korea | Year: 2026 | Episode: 12 | Channel: tvN, TVING, Viki
Cast: Bae In Hyuk & Roh Jeong Eui
Plot: Sun Tae Hyeong and Woo Hyun Jin are in-laws. They don’t get along and constantly bicker with each other. When their respective sibling dies in a car accident, both decide to move in together to raise the couple’s 20-month old baby.
Review: This drama was an absolute disappointment. The premise of the plot was promising. You had two in-laws joining forces to raise a baby together, all the while navigating parenthood and getting over their differences. If the story had followed that first idea, I think the drama would’ve been much more better. But instead, they took another path that destroyed it entirely. The female lead was annoying, irresponsible and really incapable of raising a kid on her own. She could’ve learned though (and that was the promise of the drama), yet she was stuck in a love triangle with the second male lead, prioritizing her romance and her job over her nephew. She always made empty promises and was definitely not up to the task. The second male lead was so unnecessarily present. He was constantly trying to get between the leads, making it burdensome and bothersome. He was not a bad guy per se, but he was stealing the spotlight too much. The only reason why I kept on watching is because of the male lead and his relationship with his nephew. For someone who didn’t want to be the guardian, he’s the only one who reconsidered his lifestyle, his schedule and his priorities to make some space for the child. He’s also the only character who went through hell and back considering how difficult his past and family were. It was obvious that his traumas isolated him from others, but he opened his heart and embraced his nephew the moment he entered his life. Their bond was so cute to watch to the point that I felt the female lead was not necessary in the picture. Finally, Woo Joo is the cutest baby ever!

Undercover Miss Hong ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
Country: Korea | Year: 2026 | Episode: 16 | Channel: tvN, Netflix
Cast: Park Shin Hye & Ko Kyung Pyo
Plot: Set in 1990s, Hong Geum Bo is in an elite supervisor for the Financial Supervisory Service. She goes undercover as a high school graduate named Hong Jang Mi at a company with suspicious flows of funds. There, she meets CEO Sin Jeong Woo. He becomes entangled with Jang Mi, whose face resembles that of his first love Geum Bo.
Review: It’s been a while since I’ve watched a 16-episode long K-Drama, and I was not disappointed with the result. Undercover Miss Hong is a great undercover investigation with good elements of comedy and History. The drama is set in the 1990s amidst the IMF crisis, so you really get to deep dive into themes like the place of women in the workplace for instance. With that in mind, it’s obvious that this is a women-centric drama. You have a strong quartet at the core of the story (the 4 roommates) and many characters gravitating around. Though Geum Bo is isolated in the company at first, she slowly makes allies here and there to take the chairman down. The group formed around her is quite eclectic. Moreover, each and every character has a role to play and a real story to tell which gave more depth and rhythm to the story. The romance was slightly present, but they focused more on Geum Bo’s mission and the female friendship – which was not too bad to be fair. My only criticism would be regarding the pace. I was fully immersed in the drama at the beginning, but the plot started to drag a bit in the middle (eps. 9/10 to 13). Apart from that, I really recommend this drama. Park Shin Hye is stunning, as always!
